1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using DriveNote ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.
2. Description of Service
DriveNote is a Chrome browser extension that provides note-taking, productivity tools, and optional Google Drive synchronization capabilities. The service is available in two tiers:
2.1 Free Plan
Basic note-taking functionality
Local storage of notes
Basic text editing features
Project organization
Tag management
2.2 Pro Plan ($5/month)
All Free Plan features
Audio recording and transcription
Screenshot and screen recording capabilities
File attachments
Quick links and URL notes
Google Sheets integration
Session management
Weather and calendar widgets
Enhanced AI features
Mini tools and productivity suite
Gantt charts and project management
Google Drive synchronization and backup
Collaborative sharing features
Cross-device sync
3. Account and Subscription
3.1 Google Account Required
DriveNote requires connection to a Google account to:
Verify subscription status
Access premium features (Pro users)
Enable Google Drive synchronization (Pro users)
Access Google Calendar integration (Pro users)
3.2 Subscription Terms
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $5 USD
Payment is processed through Stripe
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
You may cancel at any time through the subscription management interface
Upon cancellation, Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period
No refunds for partial months or unused time
3.3 Reactivation
Cancelled subscriptions may be reactivated at any time through the subscription management interface.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate account information
Maintain the security of your Google account
Use the Extension only for lawful purposes
Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the Extension
Not use the Extension to store illegal, harmful, or malicious content
Not share account credentials with others
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 DriveNote Ownership
All rights, title, and interest in DriveNote, including but not limited to code, design, features, and trademarks, remain the property of DriveNote.
5.2 User Content
You retain all rights to content you create using DriveNote. By using Google Drive sync, you grant DriveNote permission to:
Store and synchronize your notes to your Google Drive
Access files created by DriveNote in your Google Drive
Process your content to provide Extension features
6. Google Drive Integration
6.1 Permissions (Pro Users Only)
DriveNote requests limited Google Drive permissions to:
Create and manage files in a dedicated DriveNote folder
Sync notes across devices
Enable collaborative features
Integrate with Google Calendar and Sheets
6.2 Scope of Access
DriveNote only accesses:
Files and folders created by DriveNote
Google Calendar (read-only for events, write for creating events)
Google Sheets (for spreadsheet creation and management)
DriveNote does NOT access:
Existing files not created by DriveNote
Your other Google Drive content
Files shared with you by others (unless explicitly imported)
7. Data Storage and Security
7.1 Local Storage
Free users' notes are stored locally in Chrome's storage.
7.2 Cloud Storage (Pro Users)
Pro users' notes are synced to:
Their personal Google Drive account
DriveNote's backend servers (for subscription verification only)
7.3 Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including:
Encrypted communication with backend services
Secure OAuth2 authentication
Limited data retention
No storage of payment information (handled by Stripe)
8. Service Availability
8.1 Uptime
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
8.2 Maintenance
We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance, which may temporarily limit access to features.
8.3 Changes to Service
We reserve the right to:
Modify or discontinue features
Update pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
Improve and enhance the Extension
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
DriveNote is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for any data loss, though we implement backup systems
We are not responsible for issues arising from Google's services
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
10. Termination
10.1 By You
You may stop using DriveNote at any time by:
Uninstalling the Extension
Cancelling your Pro subscription
10.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
Violate these Terms
Use the service for illegal purposes
Engage in abusive behavior
Fail to pay subscription fees
11. Third-Party Services
DriveNote integrates with:
Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets (Google LLC)
Stripe (for payment processing)
Gemini AI (for AI features)
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
12. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and DriveNote regarding use of the Extension.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
By using DriveNote, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
